Hit a pothole? Check your tyres, wheel alignment, suspension and steering

pothole-2.jpg

Now that the rain is here, potholes are sure to be close behind.  Hitting potholes at speed can cause a lot of damage so remember to slow down especially if visibility is poor or there is water on the road.

If you do hit a pothole and notice that your steering is pulling hard left or right, here are some things to check.

  1. Check tyres and rims for damage

  2. Check steering and suspension components for damage

  3. Have a wheel alignment – after any steering and suspension repairs have been done (if necessary)

Brashas can carry out repairs, replace tyres and perform alignments and balancing here at our Townsville workshop.  No outsourcing.
